Skittish New Guineas

My two new sows are so skittish it's unbelievable. They have not been socialised at all! I can't hold them because they run and jump to get away. I literally have to corner them to move them from the run to hutch.
What can i do to get them to trust me?
They won't eat out of my hand and just freeze to the spot even when i'm still.
Help!

They will improve with time. It's taken several months to get my three girls comfortable being picked up etc.

Aww my 2 new ones were just like this, it took jazz a week to venture out of the bedroom when i was there lol. But now they are getting used to me being there and Jazz runs happily up and down the different floors of the cage. Give it time they will love you eventually :smitten:

They will be like this at first, my news ones took a week or so before they settled in. It will probably be a little while before they eat out of your hand too. There's nothing else you can do apart from carry on as you are - chat to them so they get used to their voice and although it's hard cartching them at the moment, persevere and handle them lots so they get used to you. With patience, they will become more lively and confident.
