Hi All,

Just been to the shed and found Elora in her forever sleep. I don't know what happened, Peter has checked her over and she just looks like she is sleeping. She was eating fine yesterday, no weight loss, pooping ok, everything normal. So I suppose it was her heart, I had no reason to think she was ill and I know they hide it well. It's a complete shock.

Elora was about a year old, and was always a friendly Teddy pig. She came to live here with her sisters Leia and Lyra. Elora settled right in. We will miss her, greatly.

Run free with Cuzzy little one,

Louise

I'm so sorry for your loss Louise. Elora was a gorgeous girl. Rest well little poppet. xx

I'm so sorry Lou, what a horrid shock for you :(

Run free little Elora, big hug to you Louise x

it's even more saddening when you're not sure as to why these thing's happen! Elora was a special girl as she was the sort of piggy you could just reach in and have a nice stroke of. I had myself noticed that she seemed to be getting a bit slower at running around so I guess she was struggling and it was probably her heart that gave out in the end.

Sleep well my little one 8... 8... 8... 8...

Oh Pete and Lou, i am so sorry to hear about Elora, poor little darling.

Sleep tight little one

I'm so sorry about little Elora - an awful shock for you when she hadn't seemed ill, but at least she passed without suffering. Far too young, of course - and such a pretty little girl.

I'm so sorry to hear about Elora 8...

Sleep tight little one and run free at rainbow bridge :rose

Aw, Louise and Peter, I am so sorry to hear about Elora. It must be a total shock to discover a little one has died with no reasoning. Poor little piggie. RIP Elora.

Oh Louise that is so sad. Really sorry to hear about Elora. I know this is probably no consolation but most of my piggies have passed away with no previously apparent problems. I think it is just their time to go. I know it is frustrating that you don't know the reason why. My thoughts are with you. Big hugs x

aww thanks Alex and we are both so sorry for your double loss last week 8... 8... 8...

Thanks all. Alex its nice they go peaceful and quickly with no apparant suffering.

Alex sorry for your 2 losses last week Peter has just told me. :(

absolutely gutted and shocked for you Louise. RIP Elora x

Oh no, I'm so sorry both of you, she was a lovely little girl. It seems worse when they go before their time. 8... Must have been a shock as well, I dread the day another one of ours goes. 8...

Big hugs to you both,

Katie & pigs

Thanks guys. Just been googling checking illness lists, looking through the search here seeing if I had missed anything. All I noticed yesterday was that when she jumped on her igloo as she always did as he loved to look at the bunnies and sometimes she loved to jump out of her cage (C&C) well she lost her balance when jumping down and her foot went under her but she was fine and carried on walking and never thought anything sinister was happening to her.

Isn't it a complete pain in the bum they hide illnesses so well. If they didn't we could maybe help them, but its their way of course so all we can do is watch. And I do, I love watching them eat and make sure they are all well every day which is why losing Elora has been such a shock.

Still it happens and as we say its probably heart related, she was always much slower then the other girls and wouldn't run off but again we just thought she was laid back rather than ill in anway.

Thanks again for your kind messages, it has been a source of comfort to us. :) x

I'm so sorry for your loss, but know that Elora is well across the Bridge by now, meeting all of her new and old friends that went before.:laluot_27:

I'm so sorry Lou and Pete. I was just thinking about Elora the other day whilst looking at some of her photos. She will be greatly missed. I feel shocked and very saddened to hear about this. Lou i too wish they'd give us a sign........sadly they keep it a secret most of the time, i'm sure they don't want to upset us either as they know we'll worry so much :( She was very loved by you all so she's left her little 'mark' on you xxxxxxxxxxxxxx bless her xxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks Glynis. Peter has just checked on them all and they are fine. I was so worried him going to the shed. It's sinking in now she has gone. Yesterday I just couldn't believe it. Thanks for your kind messages. x

I'm really sorry Louise. I dont know what to say, other than she's with her mum in rainbow bridge, who passed just before christmas.
I'm hoping its not genetic, its highly likely though, because i got the mum who had babies, but was also pregnant from a breeder. So there is the other 2 babies louise has, plus i still have 4 of the mums offspring.
One of them squeaks when i pick her up, do * think this is why, she might have the same condition, i *** thought she didnt like being picked up.....but now i'm starting to think.
Again, i'm really sorry.8...
