Hi All,

Sad news I'm afraid. I checked on pigs this morning and found poor little Zack in his forever sleep he was only 4 weeks old and was one of my foster boys. His brother Cody is ok. Looks like Zack had a collapse as he was found flat on his face, so at least it was sudden and he probably didn't know about it. Cody is going to be bonded with an older pig.

Here are some snaps of Zack, he was only here for 6 days but he left a big impression...(photos are of Zack, file says Cody but I got them mixed up! :)

He was darling. It is so sad when they leave this world so very young. Rest well, baby Zack. *Hugs* to you Louise. xx

Ah thanks guys. We have decided for bonding with Cody we will do it slow with him being small. So we will set up a C&C in the living room for bonding and have a smaller C&C for his new pal when I get him tomorrow from rescue.

Zack is now buried next to Elora who was one of ours that we lost over Christmas. Cody seems ok now, tucking into his veg and getting under his fleece. I haven't changed his fleece as didn't know whether it would upset him. So will leave him until tomorrow.

Oh no, what a shame... such a baby. Sorry to hear about Zack, usually think they're 'out of the woods' when they get through the first couple of weeks but it's so sad when for some reason they just pass away like that.

Thanks guys. Cody is ok eating museli mostly but I am giving him critical care just to boost him up. I am confident he will be ok.

We will never forget Zack funny how something so little can worm his way into your heart! x
 
Sorry for your loss, i'm sure you made him happy with the unfortunate short time he was with you.
