Can't believe I am having to write this :0 Crash and his brother Eddie came to me as foster piggies just over a year ago when Jenny at Crawley GP Rescue asked me if I could find space for them. Only last week I asked Jenny whether I could become the boys full time piggy slave as the thought of them moving on somewhere else made me feel very sad. Happily she agreed and the boys became part of our "gang".

Sadly I found Crash in his forever sleep this morning, he was curled up in his favourite spot with his brother next to him. The boys were such a funny pair, the best of buddies and they've come on so much in the last year. We are really going to miss you little man, thank you to Jenny for allowing me to care for these boys and thank you Crash for letting me fall hopelessly in love with you.

Eddie seems ok at the moment Wiebke. When I found Crash this morning Eddie was by his side and wouldn't move bless him. Once I had taken Crash out of the cage, changed the bedding and added fresh hay and food Eddie started popcorning like mad and then prompty sat and ate all his Just Grass! I've just taken the foster boys their veggies and Eddie started the evening wheeking chorus as usual. I sat with him whilst he ate his veggies and thankfully he tucked in as usual.

I will keep an eye on him over the coming days whilst we all get used to life without Crash - it will also give me time to consider what to do about finding Eddie a friend.:(
 
Oh no, I'm so so sorry. Crash was such a handsome boy. Sleep well Crash, run free over the bridge and popcorn in the green meadows. Sweet dreams beautiful piggy. RIP Crash.

I'll be thinking of you at the moment, I hope Eddie is still okay and he continues to munch on veggies happily.
