I am heartbroken to announce that my degu Geoff crossed the rainbow bridge over night

His brother Bobby died in January and we think Geoff was lonely and gave up on life We had intended to get him a friend but degus are few and far between in rescue and then lockdown happened.

What makes it even harder is that they were both only around 3 years old, the average lifespan is 6

my sister in law had degus and a similar thing happened to her once there was just one on her own she didn't last long I think they suffer worse than guinea pigs when they're lonely. don't blame yourself they just wanted to be together.
