Junior Guinea Pig
On Sunday morning my whole world fell apart when we tragically lost my gorgeous prince Junior
my other half found him lying on his side in his food bowl he was ice cold and struggling to catch a breath so my b/f lifted him up wrapped him in a warm blanket then put a housecoat on and put Junior inside to try get his temperature back up, he then came upstairs to wake me as it was only 7am.
I was in totally disbelief as he was full of energy and so happy the night before. We says rather than putting him in his carrier and driving the 45 mins to the emergency vets and stressing him out even further we says just let him go peacefully at home with us as he didn't seem to be in pain.
Two hours later my little fighter was still with us then suddenly made a loud gagging noise and my b/f just happened to look in his mouth and there was a piece of sweetcorn lodged in the back of his throat, but this time I was frantic we called my b/f daughter down to help as I wasn't much use my other half held Juniors mouth open while she got a pair of tweezers and after 5 mins managed to get 2 piece of corn out his mouth , I was on the phone to the vets at this time they were talking me through what to do we had to give Junior mouth to mouth as he was now gasping for air she then told us to wrap him up to keep him warm and bring him straight in for oxygen he then started twisting his body we wrapped him up I carried him down to the car but before we had started the engine he was gone.
My b/f was trying to revive him and do cpr but he was gone his little body couldn't take much more.
Sleep tight my gorgeous boy only 3 and a half years old you were so brave having going through 1 abscess op, 2 bladder stone ops and 2 dental surgeries and each time you bounced back the vets were amazed by you the little boy with the big personality they called you. It was only Friday there you had your 2nd dental the next day you were sooo happy jumping about wheeking for food every 30 mins driving us crazy lol.
Little Harley is not coping to well with you leaving him but we are getting him a little boy to keep him company the last thing I want is for him to fall ill as he is on baytril for URI I don't want him getting any worse.
Have fun at the rainbow bridge my little prince, Parker will be waiting on you
