My gorgeous rex boar Fuzzy Bear was sadly PTS yesterday it was the saddest thing to do but it was the right descion. He was 7 years old and had kidney/renal failure and finally he lost the will to carry on so we let him go with dignity.

Heres Fuzzy's story we went to a rescue center (or what we thought was) to get our other Gp a friend and in this little cage was Fuzzy he was not up for rehoming he looked like a teddy and so cute 6 months later my OH said could we go and just see if he was still there (suprised as didnt think the pigs were his thing) as he was sorry he was in that tiny cage so off we trundle and lo and behold there he is in same tiny cage (size of a pet carrier) with over grown nails totally unhandled and been used for breeding needless to say he could not remain there so we gave a donation for him she could not refuse. This was the best descion we ever made we got him home and boy did he test us if you put your hand in he would bite and i mean bite that drew blood but we were not going to be defeated he went in next door to our boys so he could get company but not hurt them and he was so funny strutting his stuff and constantly reminding them actually he was top dog, over the years he chilled and every morning he would come into bed and have cuddles with us,he even came our wedding we have so many fond memories it was so rewarding and he has left many marks in our hearts and on our hands

Sorry wont let me put pics on know this is a bit long but made me feel happy writing down what a wonderful pig he turned into.

I am so sorry that you have had let your precious and very special boy go! He leaves you with so many wonderful memories and the knowledge that you have given him a happy life. he was a gorgeous boy!

So very sorry to hear that your have lost your beautiful special boy. It's obvious that he was much loved and loved you back.

Hope this works if not he is there on my avatar, thanks for all your lovely replies, he is the 3rd piggie we lost in the last 2 months but they were all the same age so least they are together now but its sad because Dylan is all on his own now so we are getting a lil baby tomorrow night fingers crossed and also 2 older boars foxy and choco as its too quiet without there chattering away and its best for Dyl.
 
He was such a special boy. It is so lucky you were able to take him and give him a loving home.
 
Very very sorry for your loss, my eldest is called Fuzzy and has fur like yours did, who was very stunning btw. He will be sorely missed :(

Thank you yes thats fuzzy in his prime he was adorable he looked so like a bear and had really coarse krinkly hair.

what a lovely piggy, its always sad when we lose our guinea pigs, i have never had a guinea pig over the age of 5 1/2 and your little man had a great life with you - rip little one x
