Yesturday my amazing little Pebble made her journey over the Rainbow Brigde to join her sister Bonnie.

It's too upsetting right now to discuss fully what happened, but it was basically a dental gone wrong. What's even harder is that I had to make the choice to let her go over the phone, without even saying good bye to her. And that is was only 4month ago when we lost her sister Bonnie.

We picked her up this morning and I'm absolutely distraught. Yes, she may not have been the friendliest pig and she didn't particularly like cuddles or being held but she was so beautiful and kind. She was so independent but loved everyone in the heard. She may have come across as grumpy but there were many times I found her curled up with the others.

She'll be sorely missed by everyone, including her adopted sisters Rosie and Amber.

Run free little pig. Find your sister over the rainbow bridge.

Thank you everyone for your support and kind words.

Things are still difficult but I'm feeling much better now she's home and been laid to rest.

She went in for a routine dental but the vet discovered an abscess caused by a cracked tooth. It had spread up behind her cheek and eye. She was in a lot of pain and the vet recommended that the only ethical treatment was to let her go.

As much as I know it was the right thing to do, I can't help but blame myself for not spotting it sooner.
