My beautiful Marley degu went to the bridge in the early hours of Saturday morning and I am missing him very much :(

We adopted him from Pets at Home adoption centre in April 2012. He was at least a year old at that time and had been handed in after him and his brother had had a huge fight resulting in serious injuries. Bob (Marleys brother) had lost a foot and Marley had lost most of his tail.

Marley therefore lived the rest of his life as a single degu but he lived in the living room so getting lots of company and I hope he had a happy life.

He was always chatting away to us and the living room is now so quiet :(

Sleep tight Marley. Have fun at the bridge xxxxxxxxx

So sorry to hear your sad news.

I adore degus, and I just love that first photo of him looking right a the camera.
He looks like he was a big personality.
So sorry for your loss.

So sorry Claire, massive hugs
Sleep well little one xx

Thank you for your kind words everyone.

He was a very special goo indeed. He would come up to the bars and 'talk' to us as if we were another degu. He would also sit and beg for a treat.

Apart from my guinea pigs, he was the last of my 'rodents' as I had gerbils and hamsters too up until last year :(

But at least they're altogether at the bridge now hopefully having lots of fun x
