Sleep tight my beautiful Edward 2015-2022

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that Edward sadly lost his fight and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to help him over the rainbow bridge yesterday

Edward had been suffering from an infected and thickened incisor causing his teeth to grow slanted. Him and my girls were due to stay with @Wiebke for their annual summer holiday but she kindly offered to have them sooner so Edward could get treatment by Simon and Kim Maddock at the cat and rabbit care clinic in Northampton. Sadly, despite her best efforts, Edwards age and the heat was against him and he deteriorated these past few weeks @Wiebke nursed Edward and gave him the best love and care these past 7 weeks and I am enterally grateful.

I adopted Edward from @PigintheCIty in May 2016 when he was just 6 months old. He first came to live with Emma and Ellen and then it was just him and Ellen when Emma died in 2018 until Elizabeth also from @PigintheCIty in July 2019. Ella and Esme arrived in March 2020 and he has enjoyed living with his many wives. Thank you Barbara for letting me adopt him. He has given me 6 and a half years of happiness and love.

Sleep tight my beautiful boy. I’m so sorry that I wasn’t strong enough to take care of you myself towards the end but you were better off with @Wiebke so you could receive the best care and treatment.

I am utterly heartbroken and will be taking time out of the forum while I grieve for my boy.

I’ll miss you Edward You’ll be missed by me, Elizabeth, Ella and Esme but I know Emma and Ellen will have been waiting for you xx

Edward was such a lovely, gentle and happy boy, who has spent several happy summer holidays with me.
It has been truly heartbreaking to watch him slowly lose his battle against old age and hot weather in the last few weeks despite my best efforts.

He is also much missed by his mourning wives.
