Today we lost little Bandit, just turned 6 weeks old. He was always the runt of the litter but his passing as shocked me and angered me at the same time. I bend over backwards to make sure my pigs have the best but this year we've had a horrible run of bad luck with them. This also comes so soon after my grandma's funeral on friday. I'm heartbroken over it all.

My little bandit, the nipper of the litter who liked using his teeth too much. Wasn't a chatty pig and preferred to be left alone. He was getting braver though and the loudness of his brother meant he had to start being a little bit more 'out there' to get what he wanted.

Sleep tight gorgeous little man, I can be consoled with the knowledge that you where taken from a bad place and had 6 weeks of being spoiled and wanting for nothing.

Oh I am so shocked and saddened to hear this. I know you would have done everything you could. This is terrible bad luck and I am so sorry. What happened, did you just find him asleep?
 
Yes he was just asleep. I am still in shock, I just can't believe I've lost him, no warning, nothing.
 
Bandit was a gorgeous little piggy and I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My Smokey and Bandit will look after him over the bridge, he will never be alone.

Its horrible when that happens, and it feels so cruel when they are just babies. Obviously there was nothing you could have done. Big Hugs xx

I am so very sorry; all you can do give lots of tlc and hope for the best. Little piggies are very frail; it sounds like little Bandit was living with a time bomb in body. :(

Bandit! Oh gosh I had followed his progress and really expected to see more happy posts about him!
Perhaps he had a heart issue or something, it sounds sudden.

Oh huge hugs to you @Flutterby, you cared for him well, and he had a happy and safe family environment during his time.

Thank you everyone. It has been such a shock. Thankfully his brother so far seems unphased by the loss and is wheeking his head off for attention at every noise. I hope he keeps this up and doesn't go into any kind of depression. I still can't believe it.

So sorry for you losses. You are right Bandit will have had a happy life with you, no matter how short it was.

So sorry to hear about little Bandit. RIP Bandit run free at the bridge I'm sure there will be lots of forum piggies there to look after you. Enjoy nibbling on sweet corn silks and carrot tops and have fun popcorning thru the lush green meadows.

So sorry for your losses, as others have said Bandit had a good life with you, you did all you could.
It sometimes seems it never rains but pours, hope the sun shines for you soon.
