Sleep tight precious Ronnie

I had to take my beloved boy to the vets on Tuesday to be pts. He had gradually been losing weight and had some hair loss. On Tuesday morning his eyes were beginning to look sunken. He was diagnosed with cancer and following an ultrasound was found to have ascites. I knew the time had come.

Ronnie was around 5 years old. I adopted him in December 2020 alongside his buddy Scottie. I lost Scottie in March last year.

Ronnie went on a mate date with Stanley shortly after and the pair soon became like two peas in a pod

Ronnie was such a sweet boy. He liked to nip occasionally which I attributed to him possibly being mis handled in the past. I was his third home.

I am so blessed to have had this precious fellow in my life. I take comfort in the fact he had a wonderful 17 months with me.

I’ve contacted my local GP rescue and they will let me know if a lone piggie becomes available for Stanley. Fortunately Stanley seems to be coping well. He is bar biting for food and enjoying his veggies. I think it helps that I have another 2 pairs of boys in the room. He is not entirely alone
