On Saturday 16th January, I called home from work to syringe feed Lily as she had been diagnosed with pneumonia the day before and was in need of some extra TLC. I got home to find Lily collapsed and immediately tried to get her to the vets. Lily died in my arms on the way there. I can't put into words just how much I miss her and how devastated I am that she's gone. Lily was such a special pig; she had such a huge character and everyone who met her just fell in love with her! She was always first to greet me when I entered the room and would wait at the front of the cage until she'd had chin tickles which were her favourite! At veggie time she'd run between me and the food just to check nothing better was coming that she might miss if she starts eating. She also had THE best piggy lips! I miss her and all of her little quirks. I'm so thankful I have so many wonderful photos of her to cherish. Sleep well Lily x

I am so very sorry to hear this. They leave such a big hole in our hearts when they go. Hugs to you. RIP gorgeous little Lily.
 
I am ever so sorry that your gorgeous Lily has lost her battle. Sadly, pneumonia is one of those things where you are very much up against it, especially if it is the hard and fast hitting variety. :(

RIP Lily - you were much loved and are much missed!
 
I'm so sorry that you lost your beautiful Lily. It's so hard losing them at any time. Little piggies leave great big holes in our hearts. Hugs. Popcorn free lovely Lily x
 
So sorry for your loss
I lost my little piggy to really quickly and unexpected too when I got home my mum took her to the vets and she had died by the time I got home.

Oh, bless her. So very sorry. I think non-piggy people don't understand how affectionate our piggies can be and how attached we get to them. xxxxx
