I write this with a very heavy heart. Little Biscuit sadly was taken very ill last Friday while at Debbie's (Furry Friends Dental Sanctuary) and sadly left us en route to Simon's the following Monday.

Debbie and Simon Maddock have been wonderful and worked hard to get Biscuit cured, we were so nearly there and I was due to pick her up on Saturday.

Biscuit was only 18 months old (which makes it so much harder) she was a rescue from Wheek and Squeak. She had come to the rescue as part of an RSPCA case and her mother had died a few days after she was born so Anna hand reared her and her sister for a short time.

When I first saw Biscuit I saw a tiny bundle of cuteness with the voice of a foghorn! Boy could she scream the place down! She was a real ring leader and was always first to get the rest of herd calling for food, its definitely not been the same since she left.

She adored Sebastian my boy, and followed him everywhere. Some days he would lose his patience and tell her off for not giving him his space, guaranteed though she'd be back 5 minutes later following him around! She was called Biscuit as she looked like an Oreo biscuit. A very pretty Agouti/white. I will post a picture when I can bear to.

So goodbye my darling Biscuit, I am so sorry we could'nt cure you. We miss you very much and will be thinking of you always. You will always have a place in our hearts. Please try to be a little quieter in Guinea heaven :-)

Sleep well. x

Oh no I am so so sorry. Night night lovely Biscuit.

Thank you everyone, its always so lovely when you can share your grief with like minded people. You always think it'll get easier but it never does.

Our local pet crematorium is wonderful and have a lovely idea of putting little messages on a Christmas tree for a lost one. Money is donated to an animal welfare charity...isn't that a lovely idea?

I'm absolutely devastated that we lost little Biscuit. I really thought we had won, but then she became so ill on Friday night. I was sat outside waiting for Simon to open on Saturday and really hoped that she would start to pick up again. Sadly this was not to be, and she left us on Monday morning

It has been a difficult few weeks at the Sanctuary with the loss of temporary resident, Buttercup and then little Walter, so losing Biscuit too has really hit hard.

Sleep well beautiful girl! I am so sorry we couldn't make you better again. Have fun playing at Rainbow Bridge!

Love and hugs for you Jackie x

Oh no, my heart sank when I saw this thread. You did everything you could for her and she couldn't have been in better hands than with you, Simon and Debbie. So sorry you lost your special little girl.

Sleep well little one

RIP Biscuit

Thanks both of you. I don't think we would have got even close to trying to get her better if it had not been for you Debbie. It broke my heart leaving her with you but I know you loved her and did your best to get her well, you are right SportBilly, she could not have been in better hands and I would not hesitate to do the same again if need be.

Sometimes its just that way with animals and we just have to do our best. I know you have found it hard Debbie but so many animals have been given a chance by you, don't lose hope (hugs)! As I said, you are a Guinea Guardian Angel and just sometimes the guinea gods decide they want one of theirs back and we just don't get a choice. At least her time with us was the best we could give. xxxxxxxx

I am very sorry that your special little girl didn't make it despite all the efforts. We all can only try and do our best, even when we are up against it. Biscuit has only known love and good care in her short life, and I am sure that she'll be looking out for you and her friends!

RIP Biscuits

What lovely words, thank you Wiebke. x

So sorry to hear about little biscuit, I am sure there are lost of lost children over the bridge looking after our lost piggies.

Oh heck, poor Biscuit. I can understand, well we all can how you feel, and you gave her the very best opportunity of surviving. It's true Debbie does wonderful work but sometimes nothing can be done, it's just time to go.

Very sorry for you. Take Care of yourself. X

run free little Biscuit, hugs for your Mum and Debbie as well xx
