How do you know when they are sleeping? Cuz I never see mine close his eyes or anything. Does he just not sleep?

My 2 close their eyes when they're sleeping. Blossom likes to lie out on the hay in the middle of the cage so you can always tell if she's sleeping or not - Daisy usually sleeps in their house but she shuts her eyes as well. :smitten:

Lots of gps sleep with their eyes open - it's a safety mechanism when they're in the wild. Some sort of only half sleep. Some do close their eyes. Apparently they have lots of little "cat naps" rather than a solid sleep like humans.

Fleur and Twinkle close their eyes. I wonder because they are the most dominate pigs I've got that they feel that others will keep watch for them? Would love to know why they close their eyes and my other 4 don't! ;D

mind have little cat naps, zoe closes her eyes but jessie doesn't.

perhaps they are like meerkats \so while the dominant one sleeps the others are on guard to warn them of danger. just a thought. hugs and cuddles to you all, and your fur babies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

That's what I think Mary, could be way off the mark but it does appear that this is what they do. ;D
