Hi, my 3 year old boy Squeak seems to be sleeping a lot lately. He has a really good appetite, his weight is stable at around 1200g, his ears are nice and pink when he's moving around, he popcorns and runs round when he's playing or getting more hay but most of the time he just sleeps, even during floortime. Should I be concerned or has he just got lazy?

Guinea pigs tend to sleep more the older they get. The weather has been on the muggy side lately, which has had an effect - at least on my piggies!

It doesn't sound like a potential heart issue to me from your description, but @helen105281 may be able to talk you through any potential other symptoms that could point to this. If he is not showing any of them, then I would not worry.
 
Is your boy on his own on with friends?
If you have other guinea pigs how do they seem?
My lot have been super 'lazy' of late because of the heat, so maybe it is just that.
 
He's side by side with another pig as they fell out when they hit their hormones about six months old. Bubble has been quite sleepy but not as much as Squeak. I wonder if its boredom as he's extremely intelligent so perhaps needs more stimulation.
 
I'm on holiday from work this week so I'll be keeping a close eye on him. He's wide awake at the moment as tucking in to evening veggies!. I've got to see Simon tomorrow with Bubs as he's got a tiny lump near his grease gland so will mention it.
 
My two have been lazier lately too, I decided it was the muggy weather. This weather doesn't do a lot for my energy levels either!
