I've had Toffee and Biscuit (my first ever guinea pigs) for nearly a year now and in that time have learned a lot. However I still panic a bit when I see them doing something 'different' and wonder if they are ok. Over the past couple of weeks Toffee has started sleeping in the open in a corner of the cage instead of going into one of their hideys - and I'm just wondering why? Is this normal? Is it ok? Does it just mean he feels relaxed enough not to want to hide or is there some other reason? In all other ways he seems perfectly fine so am I just being silly and worrying about nothing or could there be some sort of problem?
(Just to add - I don't mean all the time, he still uses the hideys but much less than he used to and much less than Biscuit)
