If Guinea pigs sleep with their eyes open how do we know when they’re asleep?

They are very still and wont blink, you sort of get used to knowing when they asleep. As piggies get older and feel very very safe you'll notice they lose their eyes more. It is a defence thing, they are prey animals so natural instinct is high alert

The “When and where is the next food coming from” leaves their eyes! They usually look a bit more relaxed in their bed too
