One of my beloved boys Hugo has a slightly red and inflamed foot, when touching it he doesn't flinch so I don't think it's sore but after seeing photos of bumblefoot I am terrified that it could be the start of that! I've attached a photo to see if anyone knows what it could be? I noticed it last night and have been applying foot cream by gorgeous guineas since. Does anyone know if I can put sudacrem or something on it? Thanks.

It doesn't look like Bumblefoot to me, is just a slight red tinge. I wouldn't worry for now, only if it seems to get worse. What is he bedded on?

It is definitely not bumblefoot, but I would recommend to see a vet over it. it could be a slight infection, which should be easily to get on top of.

I can see the photo better on my phone. Agree it needs checking.

He's bedded on fleece in a 2 x 4 c&c cage. The fleece is changed every 4 days. If it is an infection will he be given antibiotics? Because the dreaded things cause him to stop eating and he has to be syringe fed! Before I can get him to the vet can I put sudacrem on it? Thanks for advice.

sudocreme is fine. I was advised by my guinea savvy vet that its ok to sue on feet and ears, worked a treat for one of my girls.
Was also advised by vet to give them a deep bedding in hutch too
