Slugs!!

Help I have just found a ruddy great slug in their cage >:( how do I stop them getting in ? I have put salt around the legs of the cage a bit tight I know but I cant bear the thought of them in their food etc! If my youngest finds them he will have a great day squashing them and smearing them all over the cage yuk probably to much info sorry ;)
 
ugh disgusting pointless things my pet hate I must add, salt is the best thing or try a slug pub a special tub like thing you fill with beer ( yes I said beer) they love it climb in cant get out and drown happily youc an also just use a margarine tub filled with beer hubbys not too keen on sharing his beer with a slug though ;D
 
hmm no way you cna slug pelles down without your lil uns getting to it?

my dog once ate a slug when she was a puppy and it stuck her top teeth and bottom teeth together it was the funniest thing ever my mum had to scrub all the salug slime off her teeth so she could open her mouth, shes never ouched one since  ;D

I don't like them but i can get rid of them when i have to.
Can i ask how old is your little 'slug' squasher... would he about 6 ish or so..... it's a boy thing ;D ;D
 
my youngest is 19 months and loves bugs he will sit with them all day he even carries his slugs around with him and puts them in his little car my eldest wouldnt touch them.

Also caught him squealing like a piggie yesterday thought someone was at my girls :)

Beer Idea sounds good as long as little one doesnt try and drink it :P
