Is it normal for Dott's poo to be small and tear drop shaped? As most of you know she just gave birth last Saturday and ever since her poo has changed to a smaller tear dropped shape. I thought it would have changed back by now but it hasnt. She is still eating well and acting normal and her weight is slowly going back up.

Usually that means that the gut has slowed down slightly, but it is good that she is still producing poos. Do you have any probiotic you could give her? Also try increasing her fluids which will help things to move through better.

Does she seem bloated at all? if you tap her sides does it sound hollow?

I think it would be a good idea to get her checked just in case.

Can you order any online? or is that tricky with delivery?

They could have a human version as long as it was dairy free at a push.

I'm going to try and see if i can order any although it would take 2-3 weeks for me to get it (this would be for future problems). For now i'm going to try and call around to see if anyone on this Island has what i need! :soz: About to freak out scared! And the worst part is that i had to ask 50 times if they have a proper Exoctic vet for the true answer...which of course is no!

Oh dear. Don't panic though, I think the fluids are more vital than the probiotic at this stage. I would get her checked by the vet anyway though if she sounds hollow.

That would help to boost her immune system but not necessarily help her poos.

:mal: Okay, well i'm going to still take her to the Vet because they have to be able to help in some way! They advertise that they offer complete Exoctic pet care but don't even carry the basics!:hb: And i now know (after calling everyone...not that we have that many) that no other vet clinic here offers an Exoctic Vet except the clinic i am currectly with. This is scary for me!

Thanks so much for your help though Helen!
