I have always bought kongs for my dog to keep him occupied working for his food. I am constantly looking for ways to keep my guineas as occupied as possible, especially because they have to be housed separately (although their c&c cages are next to each other). I come across these 'small animal kongs' and thought they would be quite a good idea if the pigs could actually get the veg out of them- I wouldn't want to frustrate them. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about them and whether you think they're a good idea? I'm not quite sure pigs would be able to get to the food stuffed inside

I don't know about them and I have never seen them before but I am interested to know how a pig would get on with it.

I think my pigs would end up eating the rubber... I know that rubber is solid, but my pigs have shown a willingness to invest a lot of time in eating tough objects that are not food (like my drywall. And the pigloo.) I have stuffed toilet paper rolls with hay, which proved popular, and I didn't have to worry that much about them ingesting the cardboard, as it's digestible.

@Freela I did think about whether the pigs could eat the rubber but then I was thinking that kong make these toys for strong biting dogs so surely a little guinea pig couldn't chew through the rubber?

I would be interested to know if anyone has used them before though or knows anything about them?

@Bluebell really? Maybe they're not a good idea then. Mine have never tried to eat anything out of the ordinary but I guess it's best to be safe than sorry

Mine seem to be more badly behaved then other folk's - they climb up things, jump over things and are def not safe around anything plastic! They can reduce a branch to splinters in no time at all.

One of mine ate through a hard plastic pigloo... nothing made of rubber would have slowed her down!
