I noticed a small lump on Archie's shoulder the other day and it hasn't gone down. He managed to get in with my girls while I was cleaning his cage and Lexi did lunge at him, but I don't know if she did any damage or not, there was no blood drawn. I'm wondering if the lump could have been caused by a bite. Its only small and hasn't got bigger or smaller. Will it go down by itself or should I seek veterinary advice?
Thanks.

It's hard to say - it could be a small abscess, fatty lump, scar tissue, cyst - only a hands on vet exam will really tell you.

It is a small abscess as it has burst now. Should I take him to the vets? Will he need antibiotics or will it heal naturally?
Thanks

I would think you would need antibiotics but someone more experienced than me will know. Hope he feels better soon.

It was only tiny thats why I'm wondering. He seems alright in himself as well. I think all the pus has come out, but he doesn't like me prodding it, of course :)). I'll probably take him down later just to make sure :)
