Anyone come across guinea pigs poops suddenly becoming much smaller? Also it seems to have coincided with Lily seeming quiet and not so interested in her veggies, which is very unusual. We've got two girls together so not sure which one is producing the very small poops but this hasn't happened before. Anyone got any advice? Thanks

Sorry, Dont have any advice about the small poops but why dont you separate them for 1/2 hour to see which one it is.

small poops are usually caused by a piggy not eating as much.

i would take her to the vet to be checked just in case.

Id seperate them so you know for sure who is the one doing the small droppings and then keep them seperate to see how much she is eating

Thanks everyone. I'll separate them and find out who it is and then take her to the vets.

Sorry to hear this. The only experience I've had is similar to that of your piggie and that's with Maisy at the mo.

I had her checked over as she had smaller poops, wasn't drinking or eating much at all, then they became quite dry and brittle. Since then, after being examined by the vet, we were told she had ovarian cysts.

So, it's currently an ongoing thing at the moment.

Your piggie may pick up, but from my experience, this tells me that maybe your piggie is under the weather and needs a pop to the vets.

Good luck, I'm sure she'll be feeling better soon.

Beth xx
