Small teardrop poop

So sorry to hear Velvet didn't pick up. Sending you hugs and strength for tomorrow it's never an easy decision but you are doing your best for Velvet ☹️

I'm so sorry to hear this Jackie, have you tried antibiotics to see if it is an infection ?its has come as a shock to you,but you have to go with your gut instinct .such a difficult timing.

I've only just read this thread, I'm so sorry that Velvet isn't getting better @Betsy ! Somehow difficult problems always seem to happen at the worst time :( I'll be thinking of you on Monday, praying that she starts to show some signs of improvement so you don't have to make that hardest decision.:hug:

Antibiotics won't make her better Eileen. The vet gave me Baytril yesterday but she refused to take that. She is not a well girl. She has refused all food this morning fighting me worse than last night. Her breathing is very squeaky today and she looks like she just want to go to sleep and never wake up. I'm going to help her over to The Rainbow Bridge in 2 hours. I know it is the right thing to do.

Definitely the right thing to do, helping her over, once they refuse syringe feed, it is them knowing they are near the end, I have been there twice and was the same for both my old age boars. I knew it was time to stop bothering them with syringing. my thoughts are with you today x

Oh poor little girl, she was always one of my favourites on the forum, buddy I am so sorry I think you 100% made the right choice here. Once they refuse syringe feed and metacam and show a massive decline in quality of life you have to look at helping them across the bridge.
It is the last act of love we can do for them And we only do it with the love we have for them at the forefront of our minds. I am so very sorry she was a special little girl and when she needed you the most you have helped her and eased her passing. Massive hugs mate x x

I am so, so sorry you had to make the hardest decision there is to make as a pet owner. You did absolutely the right thing for Velvet.
I've just got back from a few days with my daughter, an occasion when the internet is banned so I've not been keeping up with forum news. Sending you and yours hugs.

Thanks I have written a tribute to Velvet on the Rainbow Bridge thread
Can't link in on this device but it is in an earlier post on this thread.

I am so sorry to read about your loss of wee Velvet, sorry I came to this thread late, haven't been on much this week.

Lots of hugs to you xx
