i just picked up my guinea pig she left me a present on my jumper of some wet poo that looks like diarrhea it smells quite bad. i replaced there water last night and they have drank about half of it but its hard to tell because it drips a bit. they had there veg last night and have just been eating pellets and hay today. any advice

What are the poos like around the cage? it is possible it could be one of the special poos (the ones then eat, they are usually softer and smell more). If you are worried though, take them off veg for 48 hours, give extra fluid and see a vet if it gets worse (i.e more liquidy). Does her tummy seem ok or does she look bloated?

i could well be one of there special poos i never thought of that possibility. some of the poo in the cage are more pointer instead of being rounded and her tummy is not bloated. should i still take them of there veg?

i have just given them there veggies but i reduced it and didn't give them anything very watery. but i think she okay i will just feed them a little bit less veg for a while. thanks for your help :D

If it carries on I would withdraw veg completely tomorrow and see if there is a difference. Pointy poos can indicate a slowing down of gut transit but not always.
