Snapped Front Tooth?

I like to check the pigs when they are drinking so that I get a good look at their teeth. Kasper has one long tooth and one that is half as long? I am confused...

He is eating fine and drinking fine and his behaviour is as crazy as always.

Will it grow back?
 
It will grow back, but keep an eye on him to make sure he carries on eating ok as he may need them evened out a bit at the vets. I am not very experienced with dental issues though so someone else may have some more advice.
 
Would love to know what he's done because it was intact last night. He hasn't stopped eating today so hopefully he keeps going. He really doesn't need any more vet treatment after last year :(

Keep a close eye on them. It should grow back soon, but without the other one alongside, the longer tooth is more likely to snap too. Hopefully all will be back to normal within a couple of weeks.

Thank you both for the advice. Will check it a few times a day just to make sure then take him to the vet if even the slightest thing seems 'off' I am a little paranoid after his abscess x
 
Same sort of thing happened to gus a few weeks back but with both teeth. He was totally fine after I panicked! He's teeth have grown back within a week or so. One is slightly longer than the other but it'll right itself with lots of chewing.

Aw bless. Same thing happened to Maple. She snapped one of her teeth last year. It's grown back and she was completely unfazed by it all :p plenty of chewing and hay he'll be fine :)

So you've joined the broken tooth brigade. Number one pig Wallace decided to take a nosedive off the couch a couple years ago onto laminate flooring and broke a tooth. He really panicked us as his gum was bleeding where his teeth had obviously cut his gum when his chin hit the floor. The wee got lots of extra nom noms which he managed to eat no problem after a quick trip to the vets for a check up. A few days later it seemed as if nothing had happened but he will occasionally scare us by wandering up to the edge of the couch and then turns back as if to say "I'm never doing that again".

PS He is still number one bar chewer in our house although some of the others are learning fast!:D

Thankfully there has hasn't been any blood! Why do they like to worry us?

You're lucky that he avoids jumping off the couch because these two seem to think that it is their life mission lol xx
 
How's Kasper today.. ? Quinn must be jealous of him getting all the attention .. being a diva pig.. :lol!:

Kasper is eating hay non stop as always! Quinn isn't talking but that's normal, the little diva :xd:
They haven't had their veggies yet because I'm leaving it until I have to go out so that they don't follow me out the front door :lol!:
