Over the last week or so I have noticed that one of my pigs, reggie has been drinking a lot, and for quite a long time. I have also noticed that he is making puff/sneezing noises every so often.

He seems okay in himself, his eating, going to the toilet etc- however I am not sure if it could mean anything or whether the two could be related? Maybe an allergy or a cold?

Piggies don't get colds. Have you changed anything like the bedding which could account for an allergy. I would personally go to the vets for a check up to be sure because URI's can be fatal if not treated quickly

Thanks for your reply. No nothing has changed regarding bedding, hay etc. I am not sure which pig is sneezing as I haven’t noticed it when they have floor time or when they are being handled. Only tends to be in the evening or in the morning some times. Is it possible it could be related to the dust/powdery bits of food left in their bowl after they eat?

Doesn't sound like an allergy then if nothing has changed to trigger the reaction. Is it happening only when they eat? Greedy piggies can make a coughing noise if they eat too quick, my Daisy does it every time they have veggies. However, if there is an increase in the amount being drunk then I would still go to the vets and get him checked over because that would indicate there is potentially something else going on

It seems to be, and Reggie is very greedy so it would make sense. Thank you for your advice, will get them checked over anyways
