hi my little pig alice i done a thread in guinea pig chat about her. i have just got her out and she has a bit of s crusty nose and also done afew sneezes ( about 4 in about 20 mins ) should i be concernd am not very clued up on guinea pig illness
I wouldn't mind about a few sneezes here and there, they do tend to sneeze just like us especially when they're digging around in their hay, but she certainly shouldn't have a crusty nose, Guinea Pigs commonly get respiratory infections especially if bought from Pets at Home or other large breeders I found this out after I bought 2 from there. I'd get her to the vets and maybe get her a course of antibiotics it cost me about £7 for a weeks course. Get well soon Alice! x
yeah i am worried shes so small and i know nothing about illness in piggies reading up on the most common ones now she is still eating and drinking fine i have a bunny thats needs dental work tomorrow i will take her along with me
Definately worth getting her checked out with the vet tomorrow. A crusty nose can indicate a URI, it is good news she is eating and drinking fine. Let us know how she gets on at the vets. Lots of healing vibes her way, hoep your buunies dental goes well also.
