Hi everyone, i just joined here because I'm having some trouble. My guinea pig, Popcorn, has been having some sneezing issues. I first noticed it last night, when she had a full-on sneeze attack. She seriously wouldn't stop, i thought she couldn't breathe. The sneeze attack stopped though, yet she still sneezed after quite a lot. Today, the sneezing seems to have calmed down, although I've heard her sneeze about four times already today. She's eating and drinking normally, but I'm still really worried that she may have a URI. My mother thinks it's nothing, but i disagree. Can someone please help?

How is she now? Sometimes sneezing fits can be caused bu dust in the hay or the pellets, they usually subside?

Are her eyes clear no discharge?

Oh, sorry for not updating. I figured out not too long ago that she definitely has a URI, and so does her cagemate. I'm currently keeping them both here in their cage with a humidifier on. They're both quite lethargic and not as hungry but they're still able to run a tiny bit. In three hours and a half we will be at the vets getting an antibiotic. I've heard a lot of stories of piggies not making it through URIs so may i ask of you to please pray for my babies Popcorn and Pumpkin to get all better. Thank you😊

Bets of luck at the vets. Healing vibes being sent

We took them to the vet and turns out my other piggie Pumpkin has a bit worse of a case than popcorns. They are starting them both on antibiotics for a week, and if we don't see results then they will give us a stronger one. They're also giving us a probiotic to help the good bacteria. I know uri is serious in all cases though, so please send well wishes and prayers to both my piggies. Thank you all for helping, you really helped keep me in check this whole time. And I'll make sure to update when they're all better again, which i know they will be:))
