Sneezing Piggy?

My guinea pig, Coconut, is sneezing about 3-5 times every minute (JUST started), and I'm getting really worried! Is it just a cold? Is a cold very harmful? Do your piggies sneeze?
 
Mine sneeze occasionally but a sudden onset of sneezing sounds like it could be an allergy - have you just put in some new hay? Or used something in the room your piggy is in like air freshner or something? Of course colds also start with a lot of sneezing too - I'm sure somebody will be along to advise soon. Try not to worry too much, keep an eye on your piggy, make sure there aren't any drafts and make an appt. with a cavy savvy vet first thing in the morning if there's still a lot of sneezing.
 
Just seen your location - if it's daytime where you are give your vet a ring and get some advice, that should help. :)
 
I know my guinea pigs sneeze when they get hay up their nose. Have they had any hay within the last hour?
 
i'm also wondering if it's an allergy ?
Listen to her breathing, is there any unusual noises? If you're at all unsure call the vets for them to give Coconut a good check over :)
 
Hey guys, actually, since I posted this, I haven't heard any sneezing! Wheew! :D If it comes again, I'll make sure to give the vet a call. They had just eaten hay, actually :P Thanks again!
