Hello,

It's me again worrying about my boys. I got my 2 boys from a rescue centre 2 weeks ago, I noticed that when I went to visit them before I brought them home, one of them sneezed. At the time they were on a non fleece bedding it wasnt sawdust, but it looked similar, I don't know the name of it, but I switched them to fleece when I brought them home. I've just noticed that every so often they'll sneeze. Sometimes it's two or three times a day, sometimes it's only once, and some days they don't sneeze at all. Occasionally Rohan does a sneeze choke, but is always ok again afterwards. There is no discharge from their noses, they seem fairly active but I'm still getting to know them, so I have nothing to compare their behaviour to. They are both eating and drinking normally. I was just wondering how often do your pigs sneeze, if they sneeze at all? At the moment I'm just keeping my eye on them. I've ordered a pair of scales so that I can weigh them, so as soon as they are delivered I'll weigh them so that I can start to keep track of their weight. Should I be worried?

My pigs sneeze every now and then, probably a similar frequency to yours. It doesn't like cause for concern at the moment. If their nose is runny, or if they're sneezing a lot in a day, or if they lose weight, or appear lethargic or not eating properly etc they're all causes to be worried about a URI but the occasional sneeze is ok. Don't worry :)
