just asking for a little advice. Our little man Jewel had some crusting around his nostrils on Friday, but no active nasal discharge. We rang vets then who said as he was fine otherwise to keep an eye. We have had no other worries about him otherwise this weekend - eating, drinking, peeing and pooping, popcorning and active. even put on 50g at his weekly weigh in yesterday. However during cuddles today he sneezed twice
.. Havent heard it again. Again otherwise well and no nostril crusting today. Any advice? I swear having a piggie is as anxiety provoking as a baby!

@Kim Barkas What colour was the crust around his nose? Crusts normally indicate an infection but as you haven't seen it again.

Sneezing can happen randomly if they get a bit of hay or dust up their nose.

I'd keep an eye on him and if you see any yellow/green discharge or crusts again pop him to the vet for some antibiotics.

they were golden crusts, a bit like a scab. we havent seen any gunk come out of his nose and nothing there today.

so today guinea pig started wheezing so he went to the vets and he has a URTI so on antibiotics :-( seems ok in himself but keeping a close eye on him
