Sneezing

I took my piggy to petco in which they took him to the vet since he was sneezing alot but they said he was fine after checking him of any respiratory ilnesses. So really I'm wondering if he has any alergies and if theres any ways to minigate that problem he still sneezes alot and i cant help but feel terrible. Other than the sneezes and runny noses nothing is wrong with him.

Get him to a vet which speacilzes in guniee pigs vets would not know what the cause would be but he would

I would go to a regular vet because from my experience Petco has not accurately diagnosed. If it is a respiratory infection it is serious and my pig died from that the other day

Hi!

Try another brand of dust-free hay. In most cases the sneezing is down to a sensitivity to hay dust. Not all brands are equally good.

Like Wiebke said, try another brand of hay. Usually dust in hay causes piggies to sneeze. I would reccomend Oxbow as they are really good at keeping the majority of their hay dust free.

I will be good to know if the hay change sorts things. I never worry about sneezes. But if its alot then yea, some changes need to be tried out
