I'm taking my two to the vet as they've both been sneezing. Can they catch colds from each other?
Sorry if that's a stupid question. One is sounding snuffly so I know it's likely an infection but the other is just sneezing. No discharge or anything. But it's just started the last few days.

Guinea pigs do not get viral colds, they get bacterial respiratory infections (requiring antibiotics).
Bacteria will be able to infect them both.
Definitely get them both vet checked as a URI is not something to delay seeking treatment for.

Let us know how it goes at the vet

Both girls are ok. Chest clear and no noisy breathing since either. I'm wondering if it's something in the house? This batch of hay is quite dusty so maybe that? But I have a whole bale to use. Any suggestions welcome!

They also had their nails clipped and were very vocal about it 😬 not happy with me today

I’m glad to hear their chests are clear.

Dust hay will produce noisy nasal breathing, so it could well be that.
Other irritants include candles, perfumes, air fresheners etc

OK. Actually I think I've got an air freshener somewhere so will remove that.
