I posted on here a while ago, about snickers (the oldest piggy) and crumpet (approx 4 months old) having the usual boar issues.

Anyway i seperated them for a while after snickers had a munch at crumpets ear. They are back together now, and have been for a week or so as I'm giving bonding another go.

Just wanted some advice. I have done the usual, they have 3 hideys, 2 water bottles, 2 food bowls, and i give them their own veg seperatley.

Crumpet just seems scared of snickers tho. Even if snickers is just sitting about crumpet comes out a hidey and immediatley runs straight back in when he sees snickers is about.

Hes still eating and drinking ok though, usually when snickers is hiding. But I'm worried. Is that normal?
Snickers has started to chase crumpet back into his house now when he leaves as well.

Crumpet isnt challenging snickers for the "top pig" position either. Snickers also likes to nip crumpet alot.

Any advice?

Every time crumpet comes out the house snickers chatters and chases him back :(

Hmmmm it sounds like Snickers is the top pig and little Crumpet is the underpiggie, is their any fighting or is it just chasing?

If its just chasing, and everyone is eating/drinking normally i would keep going with the bonding it might just be a matter of time before Snickers cools off so to speak with the dominance behaviour. :)

it can sometimes to lead to one sided fighting as such. its more of a panic than a fight though I suppose.

Crumpet will go to run away and stumble on something and then there will be, all I can describe it as is a "cartoon ball" fight. Crumpet doesn't do anything but is just panicking to get away if that makes sense.

I'm just worried now that he cant get to either of the water bottles because Snickers is at him as soon as he comes out chasing him back!

Ive just had them out on floor time. What keeps happening, is crumpet runs away and snickers runs after him and bites his bum. Is this normal?

Frankly, I would separate. It doesn't sound good at all.

Are you weighing Crumpet regularly? Is he eating and drinking enough? It sound to me like too much like outright bullying and not like a healthy relationship.

I started weighing him yesterday. But i think your right. I'm going to seperate them and try and keep them together. I'm going to havr to arrange their room and hope there is enough room for all the cages.

I cant give either of them up, i love them too much!
