After my previous thread about Snickers' search for a friend, the very lovely All About The Animals and I have had many chats and PMs about our little anti social pig and who she might get on with and who she might not...

So, with the help of a piggy train involving Jenny at Crawley Guinea Pig Rescue (thank you Jenny!) and Amanda1801 (thank you Amanda!) Snickers is going to Wales!

I am dropping her down to Jenny's tomorrow evening, we have just had a big cuddle, I'm really going to miss her while she is off bonding but I know this is the best thing for her to find a friend.

I have tentatively reserved the very very gorgeous Nancy (can be seen here http://all-about-the-animals.blogspot.com/p/needing-homesservices.html on AATA's blog) between you and me she will have a home here anyway as AATA has told me a lot about her background, and most of you know what I am like for my rex/teddies/Swiss pigs :red I do hope Snicks gets on with her though.

I am feeling like a nervous mum but excited too, we have taught Snickers some Welsh words and phrases and been watching Gavin and Stacey in the hope this helps... :))

So paws crossed everyone, and lets hope when I go and get her in August she will have a nice new friend!

'I hope I don't get travel sick! Oh wait, I can't, phew!'

Have fun at Wales Snickers! Good luck finding a friend. I have never heard of this program before. Sounds awesome though. Nancy looks very pretty!

From what I hear, Jeff has had a great time in Wales...he is coming home with a wife though so that may have something to do with it! rolleyes
 
Good luck in wales Snickers. Nancy is lovely. I got a hug when I picked up my three girls. Also loved meeting the Daves and Boxy.
 
Fingers firmly corssed for Snickers! I hope that she can find a friend in Wales - at least, she will have a good choice of possible friends there and a very experienced lady to guide her through it!
 
Misty and Storm here, Snickers. Whee wanted to wish you Pob lwc which according to mummy's laptop means 'good luck' in welsh, although our mummy is English and daddy is Scottish, so whee can't be sure!

Hopes your slave gives you lots of nice noms for the journey and that you find a lovely friend,

The Daves and Boxy are coming back to be house pigs because my C&C stuff hasn't arrived!
 
I saw Fancy Nancy on their site & she looked gorgeous! I was so tempted but live too far away :( Good luck Snickers :)

We dropped her down to Jenny last night (and said hello to all the piggies, Jenny really has some lovely pigs, little Stacey and Peggy really are two lovely single females - anyone local, get thee to Crawley!)

I managed not to get a bit weepy but I am missing her now, I had been bringing her in every night to help her get better with people and there is no warm lump on my lap :(

I am hoping she made it to AATA ok, I am going to ring her soon to check she is alright.

Oh yes Pebble, she may have, erm, pinched one of your carriers...they are bigger than mine and it's a long way! xx
 
Well the trio who were known as the hippies here - soooooo laid back, and Jeff and his new girl have left the building and gone home with their mum.

The adorable and dinky Snickers, don't know why, but was expecting a big girl. Has arrived, she's taken it all in her stride, you'd not think she'd travelled half way across the UK these last few days, and weve also got a rabbit from Crawley,who again is dinky. Was expecting a big girl but she's only a small but very overweight lop.

So Snickers and the new bun are both settled into their new digs and tucking into their dinner. Thanks to Amanda and Jenny for transporting these girls over to Wales :)

I'm home without taking a 6 hour detour through Wales this time! rolleyes

Snickers is adorable! I had a cuddle when Jenny brought her to me, and I nearly pignapped her!
