Well he has been a bit under the weather...I thought at first he was unhappy after being separated from Cadbury, I put their cages side by side but he still wasn't eating and drinking. When I had him out for playtime earlier I noticed he was limping but I couldn't work out which leg was causing him bother.

Rang a vet (after the PDSA refused to help me) who has let me defer payment until I get paid on Wednesday and he gave him the once over and found a nasty bite wound near his hind right leg and said he thought Snickers had an infection. Blimey didn't Snickers wheek when he got his jab! He then had a cuddle with his piggy slave (me lol) grumbling about the nasty vet! The vet said he should be feeling better in 3 to 4 hours.

Got him home and he had a cuddle in his fleece blanket for a while and then went back in his cage. A few hours later I offered him some salad leaves which he ate! I was so pleased as he hasn't eaten properly for days...so I got him half a bell pepper and that didn't touch the sides either so thankfully I think he is on the mend :)

I'm glad the vet could help you out. Poor Snickers. Hopefully he'll be feeling much better soon. xx>>>

He was a really nice vet...I know it sounds daft but I liked the way when he called us in...he didn't ask for Mrs Barnett...he asked for Snickers Barnett. It seemed more personal...and he clipped his nails for me as I've misplaced mine.

He even took the time to explain to Ciaran that all the wheeking Snickers was doing as he gave him the jab wasn't the jab hurting him but just Snickers complaining about having scruff being held.

When we came out of the surgery there was a lady in reception and she commented on how loud Snickers was shouting but the receptionist smiled and told her what a cute piggie I had :)

I was also pleased that the vet told me he is in good condition so I don't feel so much that all this is my fault.

Ah, thats good. Poor boy. I'm glad he's on the mend :).
And your vet sounds lovely, which one do you go to?

Aspinall, Aud & Stevenson in Quedgley...the one opposite the Shell garage on Bristol Road as if you are on your way to Tesco's.

He charged me £25 for seeing us and the injection which was a lot less than I thought it was going to be!
