Snotty nosed piggie?

Hey everyone,

just have a quick question...my guinea pig has had a runny nose for a few weeks now and i passed it by as nothing but when searching the internet the other day found that some people said that this could be a respiratory infection? does anyone have any further knowledge of runny noses piggies?


Any advice would be lovely :)
 
I think you need to take your guinea pig to a vet for a check up. Runny noses are not normal in a healthy guinea pig and this could be the start of something more serious.
 
i would defo go to the vets hon, spesh if its been weeks. Are you weighing them at all? Just thats a good way of keeping an eye on things. Hope your piggy is ok
 
okay i'll try book an appointment asap!

And yes i do weigh them quite a bit, she is the smallest piggy and is about 880g whereas the other two are about 1kg. i haven't noticed and dramatic changes in weight though which is good!
