I took Padraig and Seamus teddy Boars to the vet today (an exotic vet listed on here). They have been sneezing but eating well, gaining weight and running around like racing drivers. Then their noses started to run. Again everything else was ok and I was wondering if they were allergic to something. This Thursday Padraig's nose was a bit more snotty so I made a vet's appointment. Their chest is clear and eyes bright but vet felt it might be a good idea to start them on a low dose of Baytril for a week (and I WILL be getting probiotics although the vet felt they were not absolutely necessary as the boys are otherwise so well).
Unfortunately, two 'extremely cute and tiny' 7 week old Texel piggies arrived yesterday evening (after 4 long long weeks of waiting) so they now have to quarantined to a separate room from Padraig and Seamus. Luckily my son has moved to London so his bedroom is coming in handy. Photos of the new piggies will be posted when I get some.

Padraig doesn't seem as happy today (although his nose is no snottier than before and he isn't sneezing) so I am going to weigh him and syringe feed him some Burgess Excel later on.

Padraig seems a bit better and has even pinched Seamus' cucumber. Both eating nuggets too. I am hoping it is the antibiotics that have started to work. They have been zooming through the cardboard tunnels so can't be feeling too poorly. Feeling relieved! :)
