Teenage Guinea Pig
Its been a bit of a week this week-after taking Lottie to the vets last week and again this week we then had to take Snowball because he seemed so under the weather. He was only eating hay and looked depressed and lethargic.
He has had a problem with mite on and off and we suspected this could be the problem again because he always looks fed up when he has this.
The vet gave him a good examination and had a look around his mouth but there wasnt anything obvious.I said we had noticed that Snowball was flicking his ears quite a bit and when she had a look inside his ear it was very sensitive and he kept shaking his head. There was also a lot of wax on the instrument used to look inside-dont know the name of it.?/
The vet decided that theres a possibility that he could have mite in his ears so she treated him there and then with some spot on.
Within a few hours he seemed fine again is eating and is much more his usual self-could the spot on have worked this quickly?
Would mite cause him to go off his food?
