I am devastated my 2year old guinea pig passed away sat lunchtime,i cleaned cage out as normal put them back in and my daughter came down and got snowy out for a few minutes put her back in she ran to the little house and started to have a fit i moved the house so she didnt hurt herself on it my husband picked her up she was all floppy and gasping for breath then she stopped breathing and she was gone,i havnt stopped crying since it happened cant talk about without getting upset my other one looks lonely now even though they were always strutting with each other.i keep thinking what did we miss were there any signs we should of noticed apart from i said they havnt eaten much hay since yesterday ?

I'm so sorry to hear this. It's so sad but there's nothing you could have done. Stay strong

I am so sorry for the loss of your piggy, we suffered a similar loss early this year. She could have gone at any time it was just unfortunate timing. I know it is hard. Here is a thread on helping a bereaved piggy Looking After A Bereaved Guinea Pig

Once again I am sorry for your loss

Sleep well little one

RIP Snowy

Thanks.I would strongly recommend getting lulu a new friend when you are ready.I know how hard it is cos you're grieving and also feel guilty like you're replacing your departed piggy but I promise you it will be in your remaining piggies best interest and also in time you will grow to love the new companion and realise they're not a replacement as your departed pig will forever be in your heart xx

Hello. Oh that's so sad what happened to Snowy. I don't think you missed anything. These little bungles of love are subject to illness and stuff we can't control. I'm so sad and sorry. Your Piggie gone to rainbow world with your love and you were their when he passed. Pop Away Beautiful Snowy. xx
