Everyday, for about 6 hours my furball is always curled up on me and kissing my arm. Then if shes had enough the she runs up my chest and continues the bath ritual. Then after that she thinks its time to sleep on my shoulder while I am watching TV. I know she is by herself but this is a ritual that I started from day one and now that she is so well intuned to it I think adding a second guinea is going to make her really jealous as it is only me and her for most of the day. She actually stands on her back legs waiting to be picked up like a baby :P haha

For those of you who have one guinea pig in particular that has a thing for you what are your rituals and for those who have one piggie, what are your techniques for snuggle time?

That is so cute that she stands on her hind legs waiting to be held wish mine did that :) I get him out for maybe two hours at a time twice a day, we start out with brushing his hair and he loves it! He doesn't lick me he just lays on my chest with one leg stickin out the side and hangs out with me :) he flips around from which side he feels like laying on at the time and when he really wants to be snuggled he climbs up onto my shoulder and pushes his head into my neck to get a little hug. I love it!

I find this interesting because each one is so unique that you never know what personality your going to end up with and what kind of snuggle time rituals they get into.

It is cute that she stands up on her hind legs to be picked up. One of those unique guinea pigs that you hardly ever find lol

My piggies seem to prefer each other to me, When i was a kid, too long ago, my friend had a single piggie, he used to come to our house and just follow her around the lawn, never seen anything like it, do single piggies bond more to their humans?
My four girls, just treat me like a chef and housecleaner lol.:(:)p

I think so. It is because if you have a single piggy, you can take the time to bond with them rather than only worry about food and cage cleaning. I personally after having only a single pig for 4 months, its more possible for her to bond quicker because you have to time to snuggle only her and not a band of piggies who get jealous. My little Oreo is only a mum's girl..... except when dad has an apple and she wants some. haha
