Some people just can't look after piggies :(

My mums friend lost her piggies today.. And I'm actually so angry!

She asked us to look after her little piggies for a few days a couple of weeks ago and I noticed that the piggies have no hay, a fairly poor diet and no toys or chew toys! They simply lived in a cage with sawdust, a food bowl and a water bottle! Poor little boys :(

Today she told my mum that that both of her piggies died, around the time on the same day! :( which seems so suspicious too me as it happened so soon after getting rid of her kitten! Because as well as the piggies, she also had a kitten, which she decided too get rid of as she decided she didn't want it anymore! She also said she didn't want her piggies anymore.. Because of this, I can't shake this awful feeling that she had done this too her piggies purposely, so she doesn't have too look after them anymore, instead of going through the effort to give them too some kind of adoption centre! :( I would have too took the boys and built another cage!

Poor little boys didn't even make it too 6 months old! :(

Sorry, I just had too get my feelings out!

Oh god thats horrible! Those poor boys. That's far too young to pass away. I would be angry too.

RIP little piggies. You deserved a much happier life.

I hate too think it would be done purposely! I just can't stop thinking it :(

I'm not surprised. It'd definitely haunt me.

I do not understand why, if she gave the kitten away she didn't offer the guinea pigs away. At least they could have had a chance to live - possibly even with you. :(
 
Oh my god it sounds.like she actually killed them?! Thats sick. I cant believe i sometimes doubt I'm a good pig mama after reading things.like this. So sad :(

I would happily have took them! I have two little boys myself! I love having my piggies! I would have happily accepted them!

She also offered me the piggy hutch after! Which broke my heart that little bit more :(

I know you would have. You sound like a fantastic owner and your display pic also shows that. I wish that you had been able to. What a horrible person.

That would definitely have broken my heart. I don't know how she could be so cold. :( *huggles* At least the piggies are no longer suffering.
 
:( Some people are disgusting. I really feel sorry for the poor little boys. Rip little ones. Don't feel bad there was nothing you could have done.

Thank you very much! That means a lot! I love my little boys!

As awful as it is, at least the little guys won't have a life of boredom and suffering :(
 
OH MY GOD, that is just the worst...seriously, what is wrong with people?! God if I knew that could be a possibility, I would have moved heaven & earth to rescue them....self centred is the sentence I am looking for...utterly shocking if she has done away with them.

Oh my word Abbie :( this is horrid Hun I'm sending you a hug :hug:.
Why of why do people act so nasty to helpless animals. I feel pride that my boys trust me I knew I had a 5+ Year commitment when I looked into getting piggies, I knew of someone that brought very expensive pets only to get fed up with them a few months later and pass them on to anyone that said they wanted them....made my blood boil so I totally understand you being very cross with the lack of care she showed these poor piggies and she should not be aloud to keep any more pets if it comes out she's killed these little fellas.

I hate it when people don't properly look into the care of the animal they are interested in getting! I knew nothing about piggy care when I decided I wanted piggies.. But I didn't rush into it like she did.. It took me a long, long, loooong time too research the correct care before getting my boys! And I'm always learning new things as I go!

Some people need too understand animals need a lot of your time, care and efforts! And can't just be removed whenever they are bored of them! :(

I did months of research in to owning piggies, the one big mistake I made was being to trusting and trying to do the right thing by taking on my three little fellas from what I was told was a rescue place that was a very very costly mistake sadly. I read on here a few weeks a go of a lady who had found a guinea in the woods while she was out walking..some cruel person had dumped him and thank goodness that lady found him else I dread to think what would of happened :(

Aw, so sad :(

I hate sad guinea pig stories! I'm so glad someone managed too find the little piggies!

I hate too think about awful things happening too piggies! :( and just animals in general!
 
I hate sad stories about animals, plays on my mind for ages :(

Tilly was a throwaway. I often sit watching her with Hettie, running around, enjoying her food. I must admit that it makes me cry :(
 
Aw, sad piggy stories are just the worst :(

But I do love too hear that piggies that have been treated badly are now part of a loving family! There's some amazing people, who take on badly treated piggies!
 
That's made me cry, what a terrible story. How could somebody do that to any animal :no: How very very sad for the little guys. At least they are at peace now :soz:

It's so sad that the poor little guys had too go! :(
They aren't even my piggies, but I feel so awful about it, they deserved a happy life :(
 
its the same for all animals.I came home with five gerbil babies one day because the owner had a small vivarium with mum dad new litter and five babies .She was going to put the five babies to sleep cos couldn't sell them.She didn't even know that the mum would be pregnant again cos dad was still in with her.Total disregard for an animals life.People just think they can do what they want with them.One of my dogs came to us after being in four previous homes.Took him two years before he would come and sit with us and still steals food whenever he gets the chance.Was skin and bone and scratched up and infected as well.Cost me 130 quid the first week i got him.Due to circumstances i am struggling to keep my animals but will try the best i can to keep them with mr
