hi all,
some of my family have just been to visit me an i really need to vent my aunt walked into the guinea pig room and said why dont you breed them 98) when i explained about all the guineas in rescue she was like well y do you have so many? she then went through all my kitchen cupboards my bedroom cupboards my bathroom cupboards and found them clean. I'm so annoyed how dare she come into my house and sneak through my things. i bought a dump and have been doing my house up for the past year. my grandad noticed the new living room, kitchen and our bedroom and complimented us on it but all my aunt could concentrate on was how the bathroom didnt have a floor covering yet and the stairs wernt decorated and i have a room full of guinea pigs! iv done alot of the work myself on my house and feel like screaming. i have a thing about my house smellin so keep it very clean and my animals very clean. Iv worked so hard on this place but wont do things on the cheap only when i can afford to do it right. iv worked so hard on it and making sure what i done has been done right i cant believe she came in and judged me. just really needed to vent and the thing is her house isnt as clean as ours!

You have a right to be angry - I would be too >:(

I think she must f been secretly jealous of you ;)

i went to visit my mum at the weekend and she said "you need to get out of those horrible terraced houses". i live in a city, and am a student, so its very unlikely id find a better house while I'm a student, and also our house really isnt that bad compared to most. dont know how she dare considering where she lives :o i feel safer here than i did back home. i dont have a problem with terraced houses, and as long as the house is nice i will take what i can afford.

family are a pain in the *** and always pick faults even if theyre not exactly great themselves ::)

Ignore her Joe! Sounds like she is jealous, she can come around to ours if she likes! :D

A house that is perfect is not a house but a museum, I lived in one for 23 years with my mother!

next time dont let her in your cubords nosy witch!
I agree with the others jelous!
Dont let her veiw of life taint yours, yours is much prettier :smitten:

thanks everyone :-*
what upsets me is iv had a damp course through the downstairs the dowmstairs replastered a new kitchen (i designed and helped fit) its all redecorated which i did myself i had the floors relaid in my bedroom then decorated it myself and a new boiler and central heating put in. i refuse to do things on the cheap because i think its a faulse economy. i work full time then i also have another job to support myself. everythig goes on my animals and my house.

niiiiiiightmare! I often get family visiting and saying: "ooh you have so many guinea pigs, why? Do you breed them?" When I say no because I don't feel it's the right thing to do they give me a funny look ::) Our house (apart from the outside ::)) is neat now but when we had the builders in it was a pain in the ar*e, family used to comment about that ::) ::) ::) >:(

That's cr&p :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:
awwwww have a good rant love, got big shoulders here O0 O0 O0
My family wouldn't dare >:D cause then they'd not be asked back again >:D ;D ;D ;D ;D
My MIL (mother in law) did it once, luckily my OH didn't here it.... but i did and i heard what she said to another family member, funny how she didn't see us for quite awhile ::) ::) i was always too busy to come visit with the kids >:D

Oh Jom no wonder your annoyed. Sounds to me like she is secretly jealous at how well you have done your house up. Just think once its done you can sit back admire your wonderful house and think we did that. :smitten:

Some people that are not happy with themselves always have to pick at others. Ignore her its her with the problem.

Hope your feeling better soon :)

feel loads better today.I had a few vodkas after she left and that did the trick ;)
were getting our dog tonight so I'm getting things ready for him my cats been throwing up and iv been cleaning the pigs today so way to busy to worry about my aunt.
thanks for the kind words guys x

You must feel so proud of all your hard work and the great results! We are doing our house up (but only decorating) - its a nightmare and so exhausting so well done!
I don't understand what possesses some people to nose through other peoples' cupboards - what are they looking for?! 98)
If they pulled a cupboard open in our house they'd probably be buried under a landslide of stuff!

i totally understand how you feel but remember your aunt won't always be there! my mum and i had words and never saw each other, her sister a domineering woman wouldn't let us see my mother. sadly mum passed away and i never got to say i'm sorry, i love you, or even goodbye. :'( :'( :'( while your aunt may be a pain in the sitting area she is your aunt. mum has been gone now for 18 months and i am still guilt ridden and wish i could have spoken to her to let her know how i felt. :'( :'( :'( to cut a long story short she suffered a slow painful death and never got help from her sister who wouldn't allow anyone else to see mum. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: so treasure your aunt and her faults you never know when it will be the last time you see her! be proud of your work and tell your aunt you love her. hugs to you and your babies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: i wish i could have a few minutes with my mum i would hold her and never let her go, i lost my father before i was 2. at least mum and dad after 40 years are together again. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: life is short love your loved ones. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
