A few weeks ago I thought I saw a spot of blood on the disposable puppy pads when my girls were out for floor time. I rushed to the vet. He said everything was fine and just to keep an eye on them. The last few days I am noticing it again. Only on the puppy pads, nothing else. They both seem fine. I have one in the cage now with waterproof bed pads and the other out for floor time with the same. Both have peed and it's normal. Could it just be the way it oxidizes on those particular pads? Can I buy human test strips for urine to check? Thanks!

Puppy pads I use white and it is first clear after about a minute it goes pinky browny red x

Just to note we've had fully vet checks and all is fine so in my case this is just it oxidising. X

It could be oxidising. Or reacting with chemicals in the puppy pads perhaps. You can test to see for presence of blood using urine strips, yes.

Ok. I tend to be paranoid about things. Thank you! I just don't want to miss anything. I have seen many spots from both today and they are both clear coming out. I may get the test strips to ease my anxiety brain 😊.

Wee does oxidise depending on the food can turn rusty

I have been feeling all of my piggies bellies and they all keep kicking me 😂. I guess that isn't a way to tell lol.
