So while I was cleaning the messy duo out today I was thinking "When I have the new cage setup it will be so nice to have a litter tray hay area." And then I thought "I COULD DO THAT BIT NOW AND SAVE ALL THIS PEE MESS!".

If only it had occurred to me while I was AT the petstore buying hay/pellets and not in the evening when everything is shut. Sometimes I wonder what the heck gear my brain is sat in, I'm going to chalk it up to the fact my day has been pretty horrific and nothing but bad luck after bad luck. Maybe if I HAD looked while in the petstore they'd not have what I wanted.

Oh well at least the pair are popcorning around and falling about like idiots over the joy of clean fleece. If only everyone was that easy to please

Know that feeling!

My three girls do not pee in their hay tray unless it is in a corner. . . But their corner shaped hay tray always gets moved into the middle and then ignored. They don't even eat the hay from it (that I can tell) or even chew it! so it's been removed and I'm trying to get rid of it!

Annoyingly it will be another week before I can go back to the petstore. Just hope I remember next Saturday and that they actually have what I want. They have a corner tray which is a disaster right now, which is why I am thinking of just putting a "cat" litter tray in the hay area so that no matter how much they drag stuff about it will be contained and so will the wee wee! Making that area easier to keep clean.

Also when I went to put them back in their cage (I had them in the transport box while cleaning them out). They were covered in pee! there was pee everywhere including sprayed all over the lid of the transport box, lovely. Our poor little sow had a wet bum and belly while our boar just looked GUILTY.
