Hi

Thought I'd post and say that I'm getting my 2 rescue piggies tomorrow evening. I'm so excited! :(|) They are two 10 week old brothers who are gorgeous (maybe I'm just biased....x)) One is a little Himalayan and I'm not sure what the other one is but he has crazy hair! sticking up all over the place.:))

I have a nero 4 cage and I'm in the process of getting my C&C set up. I've got a 2x5 grid set up and I'm just waiting for the correx to arrive.

I've put megazorb in the bottom of the cage (when that is used up I'm moving onto fleece) and at the moment i have 2 water bottles, 2 bowls and 2 pigloos and a tunnel. I've got a hay rack and a few toilet rolls that I'm going to stuff with hay.

I've also got an indoor run for them as well.

Is there anything else that I need to get before i go and pick them up? I want everything to go well.... getting a little apprehensive to be honest :...

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Transfer the pigloos and tunnel to the run when they start using it, but do only start using the run when they are comfy with their cage. Or cut little "doors" in upturned cardboard parcels to make hideys for the run - they'll like nibbling on that!

Make sure they have a nice comfy box/carrier to get home in, it is the little things like that that can be overlooked! :))

Think you have everything else covered, the nero 4 will be much loved by them I think! :(|)

Wiebke - that link is great. I'm going to leave them over the weekend and see how they are feeling next week. I bet they'll be really scared. poor things but i'll talk to them and give them food so fingers crossed they'll be ok. :...

Teddy & Toffee - thaks for the reminder about the pick up box. I've just spoken to a friend and she's going to give me her old cat/guinea pig carrier until i've got my own so hopefully they'll be ok in that. I'll put some hay in it for them to hide in whilst they're travelling.
