My friend has just asked me if i will take her boyfriends son's guinea pig as he "doesnt want him anymore"
i said i am more than happy to take him in and by the sounds of it the poor little thing has never been outside, had his nails clipped or even eaten any vegetables!

Hi name is Dexter and is approx 18 months old - i am a bit worried to see what kind of state he is in but i am gonna try my hardest to make him one happy piggy!

Any advice is welcomed! x

How lovely you will be able to rescue him and give him a loving home. I am sure he will be very nervous so you may want to just leave him to settle in his first day.

awwwwwwwwww THANKYOU, little Dexter will now have a lovely forever home x)

Make sure you take pigtures and pop them in the stories/photo section for everyone to droolx)

Dexter is here!

Well, dexter is here! He is a little skinny and wolfed down some romaine lettuce and broccoli!
Poor little thing is living in a pink cage but seems really happy and quite calm!

OH doesn't think it's a good idea to keep him permanently but is happy to wait until we can rehome him properly. I however have begun "mission keep dexter!"

He did say If he was neutered he wouldn't mind seeing if we could introduce him to the girls- does anyone have any experience of doing this?

My two girls are in a ferplast 150 so nice and spacious but I know nothing about introducing boars and sows and neutering.....
