got to Jollyes today in St Helens!
It's okay for animal stuff got more stuff then Pets @ Home and some things are cheaper!
Gunna try the Runcorn one :)
But... I was speaking to a girl there saying like is there any jobs in here?
Then we got onto talking about guinea pigs!
She said because Alfie throws his food in the air means he doesnt like it but has no choice but to eat it as thats the only thing there! Alfie has a good selection of food to eat then she was saying that guinea pigs can't produce vitamin D, it's vitamin C yeah!?
(Don't know whether she was saying vitamin C cause of her accent but it sounded like D)

Guinea pigs can throw food for a number of reasons. Excitement, but i would imagien thats followed by eating it and popcorning. Or not liking it. Even so, As long as they are getting the diet they need I dont see it as a problem.

(yes its definatly Vit C)

I think it is excitment with Alfie, cause he does popcorn loads!
I though it was, I though I was cracking up haha

Sometimes I just shake my head in disbelief.

I am well aware that I'm not always the most... tactfull person. However I do find it astonishing how people can ignor the advice not to get animals from pet shops (with a list of reasons why obviously) then come back to me and expect me to help them with the mess the pet shop left them with. mallethead

Can you tell ive had a frustrating day? :))

I can understand that people go there because they dont know there are rescues.. Really, that I do understand, However If you go KNOWING what could happen, (still there decision thats fine) But you cant come and complain to the same person that warned you! oh dear.

Thankyou, I hope it will be. :) Accept I have a pile of uni work calling my name. :P

pepper comes up to the wire when it is fresh food time, and we feed all of them some through the wire, but he is the only one who throws it over his shoulder if it does nt meet with his approval ! it is so funny to watch!

Sorry to hijack your thread, but there's a Jolleye's in Bolton too, maybe closer for Mrsscott ;)

p.s. I have no idea about throwing the food - my lot are too greedy for that and gobble it up! :))
